"Having never been to France to fish before the obvious anxieties crept in: what bait do I use; how much do I take; what rigs should I use? All of these questions were welcomed, received, and answered by Keith long before I arrived and the support continued whilst I was there.
The lake is great nice and big with plenty of options to fish to whether its open water marginal banks or areas of lilies.
The whole Moorland team work their socks off to give you a great all round fishing experience in wonderful surroundings, with wholesome and homely food and the chance to catch that very special fish.

“Moorlands was my first French trip. Moorlands itself was, to my eyes, "an English Lake" with all I expected and more. At Keith's suggestion I moved swims and, with more of Keith's expertise, I changed rigs and yes I started to catch. Finished up with three Carp biggest 35lb and a 21lb catfish. So very happy!!!!!
Saw my first “fifty” on the bank; a magnificent support effort by Keith to help land the fish in the middle of the lake at 3 am.
I cannot fail to add meeting Keith and witnessing his passion for all things fishing was a revelation. The food was excellent, and another highlight.
Back again when I can.”

“I only started fishing for carp a year earlier and was like an excited school boy when we arrived for my Moorlands adventure. I have fished several carp venues since and nothing compares to the stunning, mature peaceful beauty and that’s just Jan and Sharon!
Seriously, the quality and strength of the Moorlands carp are quite unique, the lake is absolutely stunning and the efforts the Moors team puts in to make you comfortable are unsurpassable. The advice Keith offers is top drawer, even swimming lessons are thrown in and he’s got a wicked sense of humour too !
